Imran Khan moves IHC against possible arrest
ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Imran Khan moved Islamabad High Court (IHC) against his possible arrest.
Pertinently, Imran Khan is on his way to appear in court in the Toshakhana case and fears arrest as police have blocked the roads leading to the judicial complex.
The petition said that Imran Khan is en route to Islamabad and requested the IHC to immediately halt the police from illegally arresting him.
The PTI leader is scheduled to appear before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Zafar Iqbal.
Pertinently, Islamabad Police on Saturday said 4,000 personnel including officers of Islamabad Capital Territory Police, Frontier Corps and Punjab Police would perform security duty during the hearing of Toshakhana case at the judicial complex in Islamabad.
Police said, under Section 144, carrying weapons whether by security guard or an individual was banned. They instructed people to keep evidence of ownership of the vehicle with them.
