Khalid Maqbool condemns Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest

KARACHI (Bol News): Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), criticized the detention of Fawad Chaudhry, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying that detaining anyone is wrong, BOL News reported.
The PTI leader used to refer to Karachi residents who are arrested as “terrorists,” the MQM-P convener said in a statement to journalists in Karachi. He added that he regrets this now that he is aware of the pains associated with being detained.
In response to a query, Khalid Maqbool stated that the illness of Babar Ghori’s mother was the reason for the former leader’s return to Pakistan and that MQM-doors P’s were open for him.
He said that the MQM-P would determine whether to run in by-elections for the National Assembly at the Rabata committee meeting after withdrawing from the elections due to a “violation of its rights.”
It is important to note that Fawad Chaudhry, a member of the PTI, was given a two-day physical detention order by a judge on Saturday after being detained for ‘threatening’ members of the Pakistan Election Commission (ECP).
Details indicate that Fawad Chaudhry was placed on a two-day physical detention after Judicial Magistrate Waqas Ahmed Raja granted the police’s request for an extension of the physical remand.
A judicial magistrate mandated that after the PTI leader’s remand expired on Monday, January 30, Islamabad Police bring him before his court.
A former federal minister was detained for allegedly ‘threatening’ officials of the ECP. Omer Hamid Khan, the secretary of the ECP filed a complaint at the Kohsar police station in Islamabad, and a case was opened against a PTI representative.
