For the third time in a row, the appointment of a caretaker chief minister from the journalism sector in Punjab

Lahore (Daily Pakistan Online) Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has been appointed caretaker chief minister of Punjab, he is the third person to become caretaker chief minister from the journalism sector.

Earlier, in 2013 and 2018, journalists were appointed caretaker chief minister of Punjab. In the year 2013, Najam Sethi was made the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab. He was nominated by the then opposition party PPP.

In the year 2018, analyst Professor Hasan Askari was appointed caretaker chief minister of Punjab, he was nominated by the then opposition party Tehreek-e-Insaf.

It should be noted that when the government and the opposition did not agree on the name of caretaker chief minister of Punjab, the matter went to the Election Commission, which has appointed Mohsin Naqvi as the caretaker chief minister. His name was suggested by opposition leader Hamza Shehbaz. Mohsin Naqvi is a big name in Pakistani media and the owner of Citigroup.
