Lahore (Daily Pakistan Online) The Election Commission has appointed Mohsin Raza Naqvi as caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab. An important meeting of the Election Commission was held under the patronage of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja for the appointment of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.

Member Election Commission Punjab Babar Hasan Bharwana, Member KP Justice (retd) Ikramullah, Member Sindh Nisar Durrani, Member Balochistan Shah Muhammad Jatoi, Special Secretary Election Commission Zafar Iqbal, DG Law and Secretary Election Commission Umar were present in the important meeting. Hameed Khan was also present in the meeting.

According to the details, Mohsin Naqvi nominated by the opposition was appointed caretaker chief minister of Punjab, the names of Mohsin Naqvi and Ahad Cheema were presented as the chief minister of Punjab by the opposition. The parliamentary committee to be formed by the speaker could not agree on the name of the caretaker chief minister, after which the matter was sent to the Election Commission. The Election Commission has appointed Mohsin Naqvi as caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab after the meeting. The names of Naveed Akram Cheema and Ahmad Nawaz Sukhira have come forward on behalf of the government. A letter has also been written to the Governor of Punjab to take oath from the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
