Local body elections in Sindh, which party is ahead in Karachi?
KARACHI (Daily Pakistan Online) The process of counting votes for the second phase of local body elections in Sindh is going on. In the largest city Karachi, votes are being counted in 1200 out of 1230 seats.
According to private TV Express News, the candidates of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf are leading in 12 seats of Nazimabad and Gulshan Iqbal. PPP is ahead in 10 seats of Lyari, Baldia and Ibrahim Hydari. Jamaat-e-Islami is leading on six seats in North Nazimabad and Gulshan Iqbal Town.
All the eight wards of Town Committee Bhan Saeedabad in Sehun Sharif were contested by PPP candidates.
