Lawyers’ sit-in at Judges Gate of Mall Road Lahore entered the fourth day

Lahore: Lawyers are protesting against the suspension of the lawyer’s license and three months imprisonment of Member Punjab Bar Council Rana Asif Advocate across Punjab.

Lawyers have imposed a complete lockdown in all lower courts in Lahore for three days due to non-acceptance of demands by the Lahore High Court, due to which litigants are facing serious problems regarding the hearing of their cases, because now neither New cases are being filed in the lower courts of Lahore and regular cases are not being heard.

Apart from this, the lawyers have put up a tent in front of Judges Gate on Mall Road Lahore and staged a sit-in which has entered the fourth day.

Due to the stubbornness of the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court in this severe cold of January, the lawyers are having to spend these cold nights in the sit-in camp on the Mall Road.

On Friday, lawyers also offered Juma Prayer in the sit-in camp. In which Barrister Hassan Khan Niazi, Focal Person of Insaf Lawyers Forum

along with other lawyers.

Apart from them, former presidents of Lahore High Court Bar Association Maqsood Buttar ASC, Shafqat Chauhan ASC, Mian Qudous ASC, Rana Zia Abdul Rehman, current president of Lahore Bar Association Rao Sami were also present along with their cabinet.

Mr. Ishtiaq A Khan, candidate for president Lahore High Court Bar Association also offered Jumma Prayer in Lawyers Sit-in Camp.

Current President of Lahore Bar Association, Rao Sami Advocate, speaking to the media on this occasion, said that the lawyers’ protest will continue until the demands are accepted. As a result of the elections of the Lahore Bar Association tomorrow, January 14th, the newly elected president of the Lahore Bar Association will also continue this protest.
