Rawalpindi (Daily Pakistan Online) There has been significant progress in the case of leaking tax information of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s family, sources have claimed that two officers of the Inland Revenue have been dismissed.

According to the details, progress has been made during the investigation of the Federal Board of Revenue and the initial report has stated that Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue Atif Nawaz Waraich and Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue Zahoor Ahmed have been dismissed from the post, data from the officers. An investigation is being conducted in connection with the leak, the data has allegedly been leaked from the login and password of the two officers, the investigation is being conducted under the violation of clause 198 and 216 of the Income Tax Ordinance.

It should be remembered that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had taken strict notice of disclosure of tax information of Army Chief’s family and ordered an investigation. The Finance Minister has directed that the people involved in the matter should be traced and a report submitted within twenty days.
