Supreme Court revoked Faisal Vavda’s life disqualification

ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online) The decision of the Election Commission to disqualify Faisal Vawda for life has been nullified by the Supreme Court.

According to the details, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court on the petition against the Election Commission’s decision to disqualify Faisal Vawda for life. I had applied to leave the American citizenship, my intention was right but it was legally wrong, I apologize unconditionally to the court.

Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal said that the purpose of the court is not to embarrass you, the Supreme Court does not want to disrespect the parliamentarians.

On June 25, 2018, he gave up his dual citizenship, the Chief Justice said when did he resign from the seat of the National Assembly, to which Faisal Vawda said that he resigned on March 30, 2021, Justice Umar Atta Bandial said that Since you have been a member of the Assembly for 3 years, if you have admitted the mistake, then you should immediately resign from the Centership, you are ending your lifetime disqualification, you are disqualified for the current term of the Assembly, the next general election. I can participate.

Chief Justice Umar Attabandial has disqualified Faisal Vawda for 5 years under Article 631C and ordered to send his immediate resignation to the Chairman Senate.
