Farewell visit of Army Chief to Navy and Air Force Headquarters

Rawalpindi (Daily Pakistan Online) Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid a farewell visit to the headquarters of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force.

According to ISPR, the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, the army chief was presented a guard of honor by a contingent of the Pakistan Navy at the naval headquarters. The Army Chief appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Air Force in defending the air borders and highlighted the important role of the Pakistan Air Force in the war against terrorism. Also met and appreciated the role of Pakistan Navy in protecting maritime borders.

The Army Chief also visited Headquarters Rawalpindi Corps and laid wreaths on the martyrs’ memorial. Addressing the officers and soldiers, he praised the Rawalpindi Corps for defending the country’s borders including Siachen and the Line of Control. Earlier, the Army Chief was welcomed by Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lt. Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
