Islamabad (Monitoring Desk) Pakistan’s Foreign Office has said that the Indian media is continuously following the statement of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Mariano Grossi regarding the accidental firing of the BrahMos missile and its landing in Pakistan. is doing false reporting which is a failed attempt to exonerate India from irresponsible nuclear behavior.
According to the report, India’s nuclear-capable BrahMos missile was accidentally fired on March 9 and fell near the Pakistani city of Mian Chanu. Pakistan had sought an explanation from India over the incident, which was informed by Indian officials that the missile had been fired by mistake.
In its statement, the Foreign Office has said that the Indian media is trying to give an impression by misreporting the DGIAEA’s statement as if the IAEA was responsible for the accidental firing of the BrahMos missile. There was no apprehension.
The Foreign Office said that the question was asked to the DGIAEA that “IAEA has sought details from India on the incident of BrahMos missile firing by mistake?” He just said “no”. Indian media is presenting this answer in a wrong color.
