Chelsea have made an opening bid worth €20 million to sign Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues currently have Robert Sanchez, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Djordje Petrovic as their goalkeeping options under manager Enzo Maresca.
Arrizabalaga has already made the decision to move on and he could be followed by Petrovic, who has been average with his distribution.
The club have now made an opening proposal to sign Jorgensen, who has given the green light to join the club in the current transfer window.
Sanchez is likely to start as the number one next season, but Maresca is keen on having another shot-stopper who is good with the ball at his feet.
Jorgensen is also good with his handling. He made the most saves in the Spanish La Liga for the Yellow Submarines in the recent season.
Aside from a new goalkeeper, Maresca is eyeing another striker and a right winger, possibly before the start of the new league campaign.
