Arsenal could go head-to-head with Chelsea for the services of Rennes winger Desire Doue this summer, according to L’Equipe.
The 19-year-old is one of the best young wingers in Ligue 1 and he has been tipped to pursue a bigger challenge in the coming weeks.
Bayern Munich have already made an opening offer worth €35m for the teenager, but Rennes are reluctant to sell him for less than €60m.
Amidst this, it is claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea have entered the pursuit of the attacker, who made 10 goal contributions for Rennes last term.
Doue has the ability to play on either wing, but he is predominantly a left-winger. It remains to be seen whether the London duo meet Rennes’ demands.
Arsenal are comfortably placed on the left wing. Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are top-class options at the disposal of Mikel Arteta.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have failed to get the best out of Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudry and could make a move for Doue.
