Lahore (Daily Pakistan Online) Lahore Police raided the corner meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and arrested four people on the charge of possession of weapons.
According to “Jung News”, the corner meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was going on in connection with the by-elections, when suddenly the police raided and detained four people on the charge of possession of weapons.
Member of Punjab Assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that PTI workers will not be demoralized by the high-handed tactics of the police.
On the other hand, the spokesman of the Operations Wing of the Lahore Police says that the armed persons were detained for possessing weapons in the corner meeting in Malik Nawaz’s private marquee, the armed persons openly violated the code of conduct of the election campaign, Malik Nawaz Awan. The supporters also clashed with the policemen, the four persons were detained and the weapons were seized.
The spokesman further said that no office of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was raided.
