Lahore: The meeting of Insaf Professionals Forum was held at Falleti,s Hotel, Lahore. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians, lawyers, doctors, journalists, retired army officers, retired police officers and professionals from all walks of life participated.
The event was hosted by Chairperson Insaf Professionals Forum Dr. Yasmeen Rashid. While Senator Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Former Federal Ministers Hamad Azhar, Asad Umar, Shafqat Mahmood, Former Provincial Minister Mian Mahmood Rashid addressed the participants.
Besides, Adeel Hashmi, grandson of Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Brig. (R) Naeem also addressed the participants. While Tayyaba recited her poem in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Senator Ijaz Chaudhry said that Imran Khan has brought a soft revolution in Pakistan. This term has been used in Pakistan before but at that time there was no leader in Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Mian Mahmood Rashid said that it was unthinkable in any country of the world to change the government at the behest of any other country and hand over power to the worst people of the country. This is possible only in Pakistan.
Former Federal Minister Hamad Azhar in his address said that there was no load shedding in Pakistan in our time. The worst gas shortages in the country came during the Corona era, when our power plants run on LNG. Despite the worst shortage of gas, there was no load shedding, worst heat but no load shedding. The way this imported government is handling matters, it seems to me that there will be more load shedding in the next two weeks. It was a country whose stature was growing all over the world in our time. Our doors were opening with Russia.
It is said that Imran Khan has done great injustice by increasing the price of oil. Imran Khan could see Russia. Cheap oil was visible from there. Cheap gas was visible from there. Your legs are shaking when you buy them now. Due to their expensive deals, electricity is becoming more expensive in Pakistan today. This was the country of Imran Khan and his clean team. He was accompanied by Asad Omar and Shafqat Mahmood. Shafqat Mahmood introduced uniform curriculum in the country. Dr. Yasmin Rashid introduced Health Card in 51% of the country. Where ordinary people could not park their bicycles in front of private hospitals, they were treated by the country’s top doctors. Now it is heard that this government is also withdrawing that facility
While working in the NCOC, Asad Umar set a record that Pakistan came in the top three out of 200 countries. Economically, for the first time in 30 years, Pakistan grew at a rate of 5% in the second year of a government. There was no economic crisis in Pakistan at that time. This economic crisis has arisen from a political crisis. A stable government was attacked by a no-confidence motion. At present there is a poor government which is incapable of making any decision, which led to economic crisis in Pakistan.
Shafqat Mehmood said that there is a defining moment in Pakistan at present. Pakistan is at a turning point right now. After a better seventy-three years in Pakistan, Imran Khan has come up as a leader who has defined the issues. And what is the definition of issues? Will we be an independent country or will we take dictations? Will we follow the dictations of others or will we decide our own future? The second is whether our political system will run on the dictations of others or will it run on freedom?
Former Federal Minister Asad Umar in his address said that for the last two months I have been hearing a big debate that Asad Umar! That’s all right, but look, the Americans are very powerful and Pakistan is in debt. We also depend on the IMF. We are also being tortured by FATF.I pay tribute to Hamad Azhar for what he did. If there was a system of justice, Pakistan would have left the FATF. In this situation, we see what the people around us say, but what does history tell us?
What did the founding fathers of America think that America became a great country? Today, whether our relations with the United States are good or not, there is no doubt that it has emerged as a great nation. One of his founding fathers was Benjamin Franklin, he says, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
We do not want to go to war with the United States, nor do we want to go to war with any other country. But we are willing to pay the price for our freedom. This country did not get the gift of freedom. When the Quaid-e-Azam stood up for the freedom struggle, he had before him the great power of the world. Britain was the world’s largest superpower at the time. There were three times as many Hindus. But they led their nation and clashed with the superpowers. If Shahbaz Sharif had been there at that time, he would have given the same advice to Quaid-e-Azam: “Jinnah Sahib! beggars can’t be choosers.”
