Former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has confirmed the government’s claims of development in the country.
Speaking on Geo News program ‘New Pakistan’, Miftah Ismail said that it is not a matter of debate that the country has grown at a rate of four to five percent in the last one year.
Miftah Ismail said that this development has not taken place on a broad basis as inflation is killing the people and the increase in exports has also been due to inflation.

In a statement issued on social media, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen said that the fiscal year 2021 reflects 5.37% GDP growth.
This is the second highest growth rate in the last 14 years, he added.
Shaukat Tareen said that Bloomberg has acknowledged that Pakistan has entered the decade of sustainable development.
He added that the next ten years would help reduce the income gap. Employment will increase and human development will improve.
