Agreement reached between UBL and OPay

Karachi (Daily Pakistan Online) United Bank Limited (UBL) and OP Digital Services Private Limited (OPay) have reached an agreement on digital acceptance and financial inclusion.

UBL and OPE have signed MoUs to promote cell and branchless banking. OP Fintech is a company headquartered near Beijing, the capital of China. The company is based in several countries in Africa and Asia and has assets worth close to ارب 2 billion.

The UBL deal is a major milestone in SBP’s cash-to-digital journey. After the agreement between OP and UBL, card payments will be made to merchants across Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharjeel Shahid, Group Executive, Digital Banking, UBL, said that the agreement was a testament to how people across the border can come together for better work. UBL is proud of its digital services.
