Dubai: Dubai International Airport (DXB) will be crowded this weekend with passengers returning to Dubai after the long Eid holiday.
“We therefore advise travelers through Dubai International Airport over the next few days to allow minor delays, organize travel in advance, and use public transportation as much as possible,” DXB said in a tweet on Thursday.
Significant rises in international travel during the Eid holiday each year bring its own challenges to passengers – and the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated those challenges.
The United Arab Emirates announced that the Eid al-Adha and Arafat holidays for ministries and federal authorities will be from July 19 to July 22. With the addition of the weekend, a large number of UAE residents are heading for their first suitable summer vacation since 2019.
