Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United

Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 5 wickets after a thrilling match in the 15th match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Rashid Khan and Tim David played a key role in the victory of Lahore Qalandars. Both players remained unbeaten on 15 and 23 runs respectively.

Rashid Khan of Lahore Qalandars was declared Player of the Match for his excellent all-round performance.

He took one wicket for 15 runs off 5 balls in batting and 9 runs in 4 overs in bowling.

In pursuit of the target, the Lahore Qalandars did not have a special start. The first wicket of the Qalandars fell in the form of Fakhr Zaman on just 21 runs.

Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar was dismissed for 40 off 30 balls. Muhammad Hafeez could also play an innings of 29 runs.

Foreign player Ben Dunk could not play any special game and returned to the pavilion after scoring 17 runs off 18 balls.

Hassan Ali was the most prominent bowler for Islamabad United, taking two wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. While Faheem Ashraf, Fawad Ahmed and captain Shadab Khan took one wicket each.

In the match played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and invited Islamabad United to bat.

It may be recalled that after the postponement due to Corona virus, the remaining matches of the sixth edition of PSL have started in Abu Dhabi from yesterday.
