QUETTA (Daily Pakistan Online): A court has sentenced a man to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 45,000 for uploading obscene pictures of a woman on social media. This is the first conviction in a criminal case.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the accused was blackmailing the girl’s parents through these obscene videos and photos, which were registered by the victim’s father and the accused was arrested last year.
The investigating officer said that the accused was a taxi driver and was arrested from a taxi stand in Quetta. The accused sent the photos to the people including the girl’s brothers and uncles. During the interrogation, it was found out that the accused was the girl. He wanted to marry her but the girl’s parents and other relatives did not agree to it.
According to FIA officials, a challan was filed in the court of Judicial Magistrate Ehteramul Haq after the completion of the investigation into the case, after which the court pronounced its verdict on Tuesday and sentenced the accused to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 45,000. Sentenced.
