The singer Britney Spears has called out again for the unauthorized documentaries that were made on her, saying they are hypocrisy.
In an Instagram post, the ‘Toxic’ singer did not mention the names or movie titles, but her message came days after the BBC documentary The Battle For Britney: Fans, Cash And A Conservatorhip, which was released in the United Kingdom on May 1.
“2021 is definitely much better than 2020 but I never knew it would be this way !!!!” Spears wrote alongside a video of her dancing. “There are a lot of documentaries about me this year with others killing me … What can I say … I feel so flattered !!!! These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same ?????”
The 39-year-old pop star earlier spoke of the New York Times movie called Framing Britney Spears, saying it made her cry for two weeks. The documentary recorded Spears’ tumultuous personal life and delved into the court-ordered guardianship that saw her father, Jimmy Spears, control her assets and funds for more than a decade.
In her most recent position, Spears claimed that despite the ups and downs of her life, she has had more good times than bad times.
“I don’t know you all, but I’m glad to remind you all that even though I’ve gone through very difficult times in my life… I’ve had great times in my life and unfortunately my friends… I wrote, I think the world cares more about the negatives.” I mean… isn’t it This is supposed to be a business and a community about the future ???? Why have I highlighted the most negative and traumatic times of my life since time immemorial ???? I mean DAMN … a lighter note … this is a video of me dancing. “
The singer is a keen user of social media, often posting pictures with her boyfriend Sam Asghari, inspirational quotes and fun-filled videos of her dancing at home.
After coming out with the 1999 album Baby One More Time, Spears gained worldwide fame and became a household name. However, she faced conflicts in the public eye, including the much-talked-about breakup with singer Justin Timberlake, divorce from Kevin Federline, a period in rehab and a psychiatric ward.
In the recent past, Spears got into a legal battle to free her from her guardianship.
