The Turkish series “Ottoman” will be shown in Pakistan soon


The Turkish series “Korolus Osman” (“The Ottoman”), which is about the establishment of the Ottoman Empire and shown on ATV, is broadcast on a private Pakistani channel, according to the Pakistani news channel Geo News. The channel announced that Pakistani viewers will be able to watch the show in their native Urdu soon.

While it is not clear when the series will be shown, an anonymous source told Anadolu Agency (AA) that it will be shown on the Pakistani TV channel during Ramadan. Several Pakistani users commented that they were anxiously waiting for the series to air.

The series was previously presented to the Arab audience on the Arabic broadcasting platform Nour Play, as more Turkish productions will be available to viewers soon.

The TV series “Diriliş Ertuğrul” (“The Resurrection of Erturul”), which was broadcast in Urdu on PTV in 2020 before “Korolus Osman”, became a huge success in Pakistan.

The first episode of the series, in Urdu dubbing, has been watched more than 97.8 million times so far.

The number of subscribers to the “TRT Artgrel by BTV” YouTube series, which received great interest in Pakistan, exceeded 12.5 million.

According to Google’s 2020 Search Trends List, “Diriliş Ertuğrul” was the most searched movie in the “film-tv” category in Pakistan in 2020.
