323 Kashmiris were martyred at the hands of Indian forces during the siege that lasted for 600 days

Srinagar: The relentless military siege imposed by the fascist government led by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2019, continues to take a heavy toll on the daily life of the residents of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

A report issued by the Research Division of the Kashmir Media Service (KMS) revealed that 600 days of military siege had ended, today (Saturday), that the Indian forces had martyred 323 Kashmiris, including 7 women, during the period.

She said that at least 14,621 people, including freedom leaders, activists, women, students and boys, have been arrested, and thousands of them have been detained under black laws.

The report said that the forces also destroyed 1,008 homes and facilities and harassed or disgraced 106 women during that period.

On August 5, 2019, India abolished Article 370 of its constitution, abolishing the special status of Kashmir. Indian President Ram Nath Kovind signed a bill to remove Article 370 from the Indian Constitution.

The BJP government had moved the bill in the upper house of parliament (Rajaya Sabha) seeking to remove Article 370 of the Indian constitution regarding the special status of Kashmir.
