ICAO will conduct the safety audit at the Civil Aviation Authority in July
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will conduct a Global Safety Oversight Audit (USOA) of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) in July
A special ICAO team will arrive in Pakistan on July 5 and the audit will be conducted until July 15.
The Authority’s Director General, Khaqan Mortada, will brief the team on pilots ’licenses and various aviation matters.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a specialized agency of the United Nations that works to ensure safety in international air transport, will assess the flight regulator’s aviation standards and other measures along with a safety audit.
CAA officials said all steps have been taken to address the agency’s concern about safety.
It’s worth noting here that the ICAO would have conducted the safety audit last year in November but postponed it due to the coronavirus pandemic.
