The PM advises the PTI candidate to seek re-polling at 20 polling stations in Daska

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday advised the NA-75 Pakistan Mobilization Movement (PTI) candidate to request re-polling at 20 polling stations in Daska constituency, ARY News reported.

The Prime Minister said, in a series of tweets, that “the opposition is crying deeply in the by-elections in the Daska district,” adding that he has always fought for fair and free elections.

The Prime Minister wrote in a tweet: “Although there is no legal obligation to do so before the ECP announces the results, I would like to ask the PTI candidate to request a re-poll at 20 polling stations”.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed PTI’s pursuit of an open vote for the Senate elections because they want transparency in the elections.

It is worth noting here that the ECP on Saturday took over The electoral record for sub-polls in the NA-75 Daska was settled following allegations of fraud against each other in the district by Pakistan Moving Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).

The confiscation came after the committee ordered withholding Results NA-75 by sub-election.

The Election Commission, in a statement, said that the Chief Electoral Commission (CEC) had contacted IGP Punjab, the commissioner and the deputy commissioner to find out the whereabouts of the missing polling staff.

Punjab Election Commissioner Ghulam Isarar Khan today completed the investigation of the NA-75 Sialkot-Daska registry.
