Veteran politician Senator Mashadullah Khan dies
Senator Mashhadullah Khan, 68, died in Islamabad early Thursday morning, a prominent politician and member of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N).
Maryam Nawaz, vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League, confirmed the news, but the cause of the death of Senator Mashhadullah Khan was not known yet.
Maryam Nawaz said in her Twitter post, “Senator Mashhadullah Khan, the extraordinary and loyal companion of MNS, has left us.”
“He was shattered to hear the sad news. He will never be able to forget fatherly affection and love. A huge and terrible loss. God Almighty bathed every blessing bestowed upon him in the hereafter. Amen.

Mashhadullah Khan’s son, Dr. Afnan, said that his father’s funeral prayer will take place in the afternoon of 11 AH in Islamabad.
The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz party had been granted earlier a ticket for senior politicians to run for the upcoming Senate elections for a general seat.
According to Muhammad al-Zubayr of the Pakistan Muslim League, Senator Mashhadullah Khan has been ill for a long time.
