Two soldiers killed and four terrorists killed in the North Waziristan operation: ISPR

According to the media wing of the army, the security forces monitored the presence of terrorists in a compound in Mir Ali, North Waziristan. ISPR said that as soon as the forces cordoned off the area, the terrorists opened fire on them.

The media wing of the army said that four terrorists were killed during an intense fire, adding that these terrorists were involved in kidnappings for ransom, extortion, security forces raids and detonation of explosive devices.

During the operation, Deputy Subedar Aminullah, 42, from Chitral and Siboy Sher Zamin, 24, from Landi Kotal, was killed, while four other soldiers were wounded by bullets.

Earlier on January 24th, security forces carried out an intelligence operation (IBO) in Mir Ali district in North Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkam, killing five prominent terrorists.

In detail of the operation, ISPR said that of the five terrorists who were eliminated during the operation, two of them were identified: Syed Rahim and Saifullah Noor.

Syed Rahim was involved in 17 terrorist acts since 2007 and was responsible for carrying out suicide attacks in the Wana and Mir Ali districts in Waziristan, Media Suite He said.
